Music Discovery App Hitlantis for iPhone and iPad Surfaces

Cognitive Maps a Finnish startup has officially launched its free music discovery app Hitlantis for iPhone and iPad, delivering a sensory stimulating experience.

Their web based discovery service has already been making plenty of buzz through the blogosphere for months. Now after high anticipation, they’ve finally released the official iOS version.

What sets Hitlantis apart from other app discovery services is that it aims to provide a visually stimulating way to discover new musical talent in the form of colorful bubbles. Musical genres such as electro, pop, hip-hop, R&B and so on are segmented by individual colors, while music artists are represented as bubbles floating around the app’s central focal point. The more popular an artist or their track is, the more visibility they receive.
